Shawn Rogers has been fishing all the
lakes in Southern California successfully for the past 20 years.
Starting in
the early 80's fishing for Rainbow Trout, he took nearby Mission Viejo Lake by
storm setting the lake record for Trout three different times and winning
"angler of the year" in the LMVA fishing club every year from
1986-1989.
In the early 1990's he started honing in on a new challenge,
Largemouth Bass. He started tournament fishing for bass after joining the
"South Orange County Bassmasters" winning at least 4 tournaments a
year and placing no lower then third place in the end of the year points
standings as well as "angler of the year" in his second year with the
club. Then he started fishing the A.B.A and WON BASS professional team
tournament circuit, taking several top ten finishes including:
1st place Lake Mission Viejo (Shimano)
2nd place Lake Castaic,
Lake Perris
3rd place Lake Perris
4th place Lake Castaic
(Twice)
5th place
Lake Castaic
6th place Lake Perris
...and many other top 20 finishes.
Currently, he is a full-time guide and professional
fisherman. You can find him fishing and guiding on all waters in Southern
California, as well as some lakes in Central California. He specializes in Trophy Largemouth Bass, Rainbow
Trout, and Catfish on lakes as far north as scenic Bass Lake (near Yosemite) down south to San
Diego. Wherever you are, he can put you on fish year round!
Since 1990, he has boated countless Bass over
10 pounds, including catching an 18lb. bass (the largest bass caught in 2007!)
He has guided many clients to personal best (all species), and held a lake record for
all species at nearby Lake Mission Viejo in Orange County. He has also appeared in many local and
national publications including: In-Fisherman, ESPN Outdoors, Western Outdoor News, Fishing and Hunting News,
